Biography

I have always liked music. When I was a small boy I liked to listen to pop and rap (Yes, indeed it is my dark past). Years went by and I realised that rap was nothing but talking and nowadays I hate rap. Pop music always dropped off since it no longer gave me the same feeling as it used to. My first contact with heavy metal came when I was in high school. I listened a lot of Iron Maiden and started to like it. A year went by and I started to move on to heavier music (Children of Bodom). I also loved melodic metal bands like Rhapsody and Sonata Arctica. I also liked Folk music and Classical music. My musical taste got even heavier and my new favorite band became Dimmu Borgir which I still love (I have their every album). I had always dreamed of playing some instrument in a band and me and my two close friends Joni and Toni (Joni plays in Silent Threnody too) started to think about forming a band. I had been inspired by great pianists and Dimmu Borgir's keyboard player Mustis for a long time and I decided to start to play keyboards. I then decided to buy a keyboard (The same old junk I still have) with my freshly acquired money in the summer. Our band never became reality because our musical tastes differed so much but I still had my passion for music. I took piano and keyboard lessons for two years as I searched for a band so that my dreams could come true. I signed up to a band called Leper God in which I was for a year yet we never even got rehearse together (that's why I didn't mention it). I bathed in frustration but luckily my friend Joni asked me to come to play in a band called Child of the Night. I was first very doubtful about the band but when I first saw the band in person and I heard their music, I became certain that this was my future. The band is now called Silent Threnody and I have rediscovered my liking to melodic metal because of the band. I am extremely anxious about the band, I love the music and the only fear I have now is that my hair (which I grew with extreme pain) is going to get cut as I join the military. Oh the agony… but luckily my military service has ended. Now I can again give my full effort to the band. To be continued...
