Biography
When I was just a few years old, I enjoyed listening christmas carols and some finnish solo artists including Kirka. When I got to school few years later, my relatives lended me keyboards. I started to find melodies of some tv themes. At the age of 12 I wanted to have drums, but I never got them. First time I started to like heavy music was at the age of 13, when a friend of mine played Anthem Of The World by Stratovarius from the album Destiny. I really liked the sound of heavy music, especially the guitar sound, though I couldn't understand why that man had to sing so high notes.. Anyway, soon that kind of singing felt to me as the only good way to sing and melodic metal/heavy music was the only music I could listen. After one year I bought a guitar, the one I still have, and a small Marshall amplifier. In that autumn I started to take lessons, and after six months with two friends of mine, we started to talk about basing a band. Again six months passed, my guitar lessons ended and we started to play together with my friends. That summer, when I was 15-year-old, I started to compose songs, and that's when I was first time asked to sing. I had never really sung before. Teacher had asked me to join a school choir, but I never went there. Maybe I would have finally stopped singing, but after winning KelloRock in 2003, I got some great positive feedback of my singing and decided to go on. In the beginning of the year 2004 our keyboard player left the band and I decided to buy a synthesizer and play it until we'd found a new player. Few months passed and we found one. Then on I've sung and played guitar again. Today I listen all kind of good music, whether it's metal or not. Maybe I actually prefer music that is not metal today. I have been also in another band as a bassist and taken piano lessons.
